"Those who cannot see ahead will always remain behind"
"And I went up by revelation, and communicated unto them that gospel which I preach among the Gentiles, but privately to them which were of reputation, lest by any means I should run, or had run, in vain. “Galatians 2:2 KJV
Vision is critical to leadership. Vision, the ability to see before others can see, see more than others can see and see what others can't see is what gives you the right of leadership over your generation. What you see position you ahead of others and give you the right of lead. Vision gives you the lead over your generation.
The children of Issachar saw what their generation could not see and communicated that vision in clear terms. This was the platform on which they rose to lead their generation.
‘And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their commandment.’(1 Chronicles 12:32)
"I see a time when men are judge not by the color of their skin but by the content of their mind". These few words sum some of the vision of Martin Luther King 2, a man who saw beyond the racial discrimination of the day and saw a united America. Many years after America produced its first black president in Obama. But it was the voice of a man who saw differently that set the pace for that. He led his generation he became a voice.
The leading voice in the land are always from men who see differently! This was why Jesus as different from the others and led his generation. The prophet Isaiah said of him that he would be a man of unique vision.
And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots: 2 And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD; And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:(Isaiah 11:1-3)
Isaiah said he would have an uncommon vision a unique vision of things around him that he will not give standard judgements. He will not make standard speeches. He will not do standard things. Men of vision raises the bar on what is called the standard for their days. They set the pace, define new trends and standards because of their vision.
Later on in the gospel when Jesus taught the crowd said he was different from the Pharisees and Sadducees of his days – he was different because he was a man of unique vision!
All front liners are men of vision!
In this season, God will give you new visions that will create new frontiers for you to lead your generation. Visionaries always have a place at the top. Vision is taking you higher. You will see brighter and better. You will lead your generation.
