From all indocations there are no historical evidence(s) to support that the Lord was born on the 25th of December. But also there are really no proofs to say exactly when he was born though some historians have put that to be from August to October, really no one can nail it down to one particular day.
It's not uncommon for the birthday of great figures in history to be lost due to loss of record or mismanagement of them.
There is someone as close to me as a mother who somehow can't just figure out her birthday. So the question is how do we celebrate her? Anyway, the solution was simple, it doesn't matter when she was born what matter was that she was born! That is all that matters. And so based on this reasoning we choose a day as her birthday and every year we celebrate her on that day!
I don't know why the debates keep raging about the date the lord was born while what should occupy our focus was that the Lord was born! The savior was born that is all that matters to our walk of faith on the earth. And His birth was no ordinary birth! This is the real gist of Christmas! And we all miss it.
Isaiah 7:14 is instructive in this regard, "Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel"
How can we look for a virgin in a delivery room? How can a virgin conceive? How can she that is without seed bear fruits? That was the question Mary asked the angel.
"Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God" (Luke 1:34-35). The Holy Spirit brood on nothing and brought for something -not just something but the word of God that change the course of the world.
It was the same pattern at creation. In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth and they were without form and void - there was nothing. And then the Holy Spirit moves over nothing and brought forth something. The Spirit move, the word was spoken and the miracle of creation was born!(Genesis 1:1-3)
The supply of the Spirit brought about the greatest miracle in history!
When the Holy Spirit moved upon you its imparts you with supernatural strength to birth new things! This was the miracle that gave birth to Christmas - the miracle of creation by supernatural impartation through the supply of the Spirit.
It's not your popular message for Christmas, but by the supply of the Spirit, miracles of new things will be birth in your life this Christmas. And if you have conceived dreams, thoughts, and ideas that are yet to be born, this season of miracle birth you will give birth to all. Isaiah 37:3 says, 'And they said unto him, Thus saith Hezekiah, This day is a day of trouble, and of rebuke, and of blasphemy: for the children are come to the birth, and there is not strength to bring forth.'
From this yuletide season, the strength to give birth is release to you, the supply of the Spirit shall overshadow you and you will bring forth your latent, dreams, and potentials from this season.
It's the lords birthday and its a miracle, so expect miracles this season.
