The commandment of love is the greatest commandment of all. And of the spiritual forces named: hope, faith, and love, love is the greatest. Really the church has talked of been a faith movement, it started right from the days of the Apostles when the conversion of the priest was described to be converted to “the faith". Acts 6:7 said, “And the priest became obedient to the faith...". But much more what the church should be is a "love movement".

God is not faith, but God is love. With faith, we receive from God, but with love, we behave like God! Faith connects us with divinity, but loves makes us experience divinity. The divine nature is born in us, so we can move like Him, talk like Him, behave like Him! No wonder faith may fail, but love never fails! Love is the greatest of all for love is the very essence of God!

And when we experience this love we experience God in His fullness! With faith, we talk God, with love we behave God!

Colossians 1:4 said: ‘Since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love which ye have to all the saints'. This is what we will become as a church very soon. The church has always been known for its faith movement, but we will become like the Colossians church known for both our faith and our love! This new move of God will not just be defined by faith but principally by love.

Love is the greatest of all for love is the very essence of God!

Jesus said in John 13:35 that love will be the greatest testament to our discipleship! He more like said, love should be our identity! It should be our nature! He said: 'By this, all people will know that ye are my disciples if you have love for one another'

34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.   35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another” (John 13:34-35)

And really it was the identity of the first church. The Holy Spirit came in Acts 2 and filled their mouth with words, but much more than that He filled their hearts with love! The Bible records in Acts 2:42-47, Acts 4: 34-37 how the church had a united heart that led to a common purse and a commonwealth!

“44 And all that believed were together, and had all things common; 45, sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.   46 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, 47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people.   And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved” (Acts 2:44-47)

34 Neither was there any among them that lacked:  for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold, 35 And laid them down at the apostles' feet:  and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need.   36 And Joses, who by the apostles was surnamed Barnabas, (which is, being interpreted, The son of consolation,) a Levite, and of the country of Cyprus, 37 Having land, sold it, and brought the money, and laid it at the apostles' feet.’ (Acts 4:34-37)

This is why Paul said in Romans 5:5 that the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit. Here we see the Holy Spirit enlarges our spiritual capacity to love! And when Moses wrote in Deuteronomy 30:6 of the spiritual circumcision of the heart, he was in a manner referring to the Holy Spirit work!

‘6 And the LORD thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live’ (Deuteronomy 30:6)

The baptism of fire is what wrought the circumcision of the heart (Matthew 3:11, Malachi 3:1-3). When the refiner's fire seats on our heart it removes the spiritual dross and every root of hatred bitterness and bigotry. He enables us to love in ways we cannot do on our own. How much we need that right now?

The greatest impact of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon his church was not just the manifestation of signs, wonders, and miracles but the outpouring of the Spirit of love that made all the believers have things in common! More than ever today we need that heart miracle of love!

The greatest move of the church at this end time will be birth on the platform of love. It was love that provoked the miracle that fed 5000 and it was also love that raised Lazarus from the dead! By love, we will see the greatest and strangest order of miracles during our day! Amen!

You want to pray this day that the Holy Spirit will baptize your heart with the love of God so that like Paul prayed you will be grounded and rooted in this love and that you will know the love of Christ, experience this love and share this love to the world. Amen. (Ephesians 3:17-19).
