The system of the world is governed by Satan.
An understanding of this simple thought and revelation from the word will change your perspective of the world! For this is not an assertion that does not have it's backing in the word. I like to show that to you from scriptures because it's important to know that this present world in it's fallen state is not governed by God!
How many times have we ignorantly blamed God for every ill and evil in our world? "If He is a loving God why is he allowing this much war, bloodshed, violence, injustice, natural disasters, diseases and plagues to ravage our world?". Many times we have found ourselves at the end of this argument, questioning the goodness of our God. A few days back I told a friend " God is good" and he replied, "good is God", and that struck me for it is the essence of what James revealed in James 1:17.
In this scripture James was arguing, good is our God, anything in. variance with this position is not in our God, for he is the father of light, EVERY GOOD AND PERFECT gift comes from him in whom there is no variableness or shadow of turning! Hallelujah! This present world does not picture or mirror the goodness of our God for this present world is as rule by Satan!
The Bible tells us expressly in 2 Corinthians. 4:3,
"But if our gospel be hidden, it is hidden to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them"
So it's stated clearly here, there is a god over this world and his name is Satan. He runs the world! Are you still in doubt about this? Let's look more into the word. When Satan came to tempt Jesus just after his spiritual journey of 40days, one of the temptations recorded was in
"And the devil, taking him up into a high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever, I will I give it"
The fact that Jesus was tempted by this offer backs the truth that indeed the governance of the world was under the purview of Lucifer! Satan spoke expressly here, "FOR THAT IS DELIVERED UNTO ME". Who delivered it unto him? It was Adam! The original dominion mandate over the world was given to man in Genesis 1:26, but by falling for the subtility of the devil which from the beginning was always to target the revelation of God's word, man lost the dominion of the world to Satan! From that moment on he became the ruler of this world and will continue to be until when Christ return for the second time, bind up Satan and establish his 1000 years of reign on the earth and what a blessed reign of peace, love, joy, and blessings it will be! Until then in this world, Satan holds the reign!
Anyone that is of the world will be ruled by the world and it's Lord - Satan! Hence God sent his Son to redeem us to our position of dominion in God. Even though Satan will continue to rule the world but by reason of salvation he will not be able to rule over us! By reason of salvation, Satan may rule the whole world but we will rule our space and limit the dominion of Satan to manifest therein!
Romans 5:17 tells us, "For if by one man's offense death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)". Hallelujah! We will reign in life by Christ Jesus!
The rulership of Satan is limited to those who are of the world and hallelujah we are not of the world we are of God! Salvation was our spiritual escape from the rulership of Satan and our gateway to heaven on earth! Salvation is the seal of our dominion on the earth. Look at these scriptures, the scriptures here shows us how we are exempted from the rulership and wickedness of Satan in the world.
"Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world" 1 John 4:4 KJV
"For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? 1 John 5:4-5 KJV
"We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not, but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not. And we know that we are of God and the whole world lieth in wickedness. 1 John 5:18-19 KJV
The wickedness of Satan pervades the world but those who are of God cannot be touched by the evil in the world! This is the truth that shines from all the scriptures quoted above! And it is the reason why Satan hates the church, it is the reason why the world system is designed to hate those of us with the word of God!
Before Jesus left in John 15:9 he told his disciples expressly, and by extension us believers who are in this world:
"If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you". John 15:19 KJV
The system of the world is always favorable to those who operate by its rules and values! But because we have been called out of the world, because we have become the " church", therefore the world hates us! The called-out ones are the ones not subjected to the rulership of Satan hence the world is always after us! It hates us! Satan hates the church and that is why every rule and system and government of the world will always fight the church! That's why you can not trust any power, ruler, the government of the world to do good for the church, except the one the Holy Ghost has to hijack for its purpose and will on the earth!
The world hates the church, hence the church can not align with the world! It's scriptural and historically you can see it all around you, the Christian faith remains the most persecuted to date! And even in the midst of the covid 19 saga the subtle persecution is ongoing as laws and policies that are anti-Christ are drawn up. The sad thing is the church and its leaders are too blind to see, all we are busy harping is "let us obey the governments"! That however is wrong if you read Romans 13 well, we can only obey governmental laws that are subject and align to spiritual authority and subscribe to our spiritual values!
Here is the first reason, SATAN, and by extension the world hates the CHURCH, it is because of our SALVATION! Our salvation secures our place of authority and dominion in the world! But there is a second reason and John 17:14 tells us this and it's also coming straight from the mouth of Jesus!
"I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world" John 17:14 KJV
The reason why we are hated by the world is that we have been given the word! Pheew! Do you understand the gravity of this?
Salvation restores us to dominion but the revelation is the spiritual instrument that enforces our dominion in the world! Psalm 110: 1-2 tells
"The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand until I make Thine enemies thy footstool. The Lord shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies"
The revelation of the word is the scepter of our dominion in the world. Through the word, God will rule through the church! And this is why Satan attacks the word, the word that has been given to us!
In the garden of Eden, how did man lost his dominion, it was when Satan question the validity of revelation that was given to Adam! When Satan tempted Jesus what was he doing? He was busy twisting the revelations of the word, manipulating it's content to perpetuate his evil intentions but Jesus was at alert. Hence Jesus gave a parable of the sower in Matthew 13 and he said that immediately the word is given, all hell will break lose to fight the integrity of the word! Why? It's because the word controls the world.
Hebrews 1:3 tells us, "Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high" Hebrews 1:3 KJV.
The word upholding here is the same as controlling! Satan may control the world but those who have the word have control over Satan and the world! Hence Satan's mission is always to attack these two things:
- our salvation
- our revelation.
He will always bring doubt in your heart about these two things. Remember in the last installment of this series I wrote that every era is defined by a spiritual Rhema, that every generation is defined by a revelation! But that is not where it ends for the devil also brings the temptation to water down the revelation that every generation has been given! This is where our spiritual battle and warfare is, to hold on to the revelation we have been given and ward off every temptation from Satan!
Our spiritual warfare has been defined: it is to live by the word, fight by the word, and die for the word. Our whole lives as believers, it's worth or lack of will be defined by whether we live by the integrity or authority of the word or not! When we lose our faith in the word we are automatically defeated by the evils in the world! For faith in the word is the key to our victory in the world! John has long written it in 1 John 5:4,
"For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith" 1 John 5:4 KJV.
As you can see from this scripture that it is these two things that define our worth and manifestation in the world: OUR SALVATION and the REVELATION OF THE WORD! When we lose faith in both we are lost in the world.
Covid 19 and all its attendant evils are challenging the very basis of these two. If many believers have their way they will want to rewrite the Bible in the light of world event, but I got news for you, this world is sealed forever, you can neither add to its content nor remove from it! This revelation of the word holds true for every generation of the world! Age to age the word remains the same!
How unfortunate it is that what happened during the time of Peter is happening today, men in the pulpit are going against the revelation of the word and bowing to the deception of the world! Covid 19 told you not to lay hands, is that what Jesus told you? The wisdom you say demands, but what does the master demand? Did you hear his voice before you decided to use gloves to lay hands? Was it his voice or your sense or your fears? In this kingdom, there are no rigid spiritual formulas for spiritual demonstration and manifestations, only the voice of God offering directions on what to do per time!
Let's read Peter and we will stop here.
In 2 Peter 3:16, Peter pointed out expressly
"As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction"
What was Peter saying here? Wrestling with the revelation of the word is wrestling our lives to destruction! That's what the church is doing today and we must stop it! We must accept the word in its totality, stake our life on its integrity, and live by its authority!
Peter makes it clear here, wrestling with the word is a proof of two things: spiritual ignorance or spiritual instability! Those who are not grounded in the word will always fight the content of the word! Is today's Church grounded in the word? Are we grounded in revelations or motivations? The proof of that is found in Matthew 7: 24-27. Please read that and you will discover that our response to the storm in the world is the cleaarest indication of our strength in the word! The covid storm came and suddenly the church lost its voice, it's power, or maybe it never had one, there is a form of godliness but we are denying the power thereof! Let's get back to Peter.
Peter didn't stop here, he proceeded in the next few verses to tell us what to do? He said in verse 17-18
"Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own steadfastness. But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever. Amen."
We are not to wrestle with the revelation of the word we are to grow in the revelation of the word! Hallelujah! We are not to groan in the world we are to grow in the word for when we do the revelation that has been given to us will overcome the temptations that are bedeviling us and we will enter into the manifestations of the sons of God! We will rule our world for Christ! Selah!
